New High-Performance Body-Worn Camera with Ambarella S5L Chipset Leads Technological Innovation

Recently, a high-performance body-worn camera equipped with the Ambarella S5L chipset has been officially released, bringing an unprecedented user experience thanks to its advanced 14-nm low-power CMOS process.

Low Power Consumption, Long Battery Life

When recording 1080P Full HD video, the power consumption of this body-worn camera is only 0.8 watts, which is half of the A7 solution and one-fourth of the MTK solution. This means that with the same battery capacity, the camera's working time will be significantly extended. Additionally, its 4G/LTE module has a standby current of only 3mA, supporting 25 hours of video streaming standby. Meanwhile, the PWM charging technology not only provides 2-ampere fast charging but also effectively avoids overheating, significantly extending battery life.


 

Low Bit Rate, High-Definition Image Quality

The camera supports 1080P (up to 1512P) high-definition remote live video transmission, presenting far more details than 720P video. Even in suburban or areas with weak 4G signals, the advanced video processor ensures crystal-clear real-time video.

 

Quick Connection, Efficient Charging

The device can acquire GPS positioning within 25 seconds from a cold start in open spaces. Within 2 hours of shutting down, it can achieve positioning in just a few seconds after being powered back on. The built-in 802.11AC Wi-Fi module offers transmission speeds exceeding 100 Mbps, while the improved LTE antenna enhances 4G signal reception and reduces power consumption for remote live viewing. Furthermore, the camera boots up in just 4 seconds and can be fully charged in 3 hours with a 3500mAh battery using the charging cradle.

Exceptional User Experience

The body-worn camera boasts a compact size (83.254.829.8mm) and lightweight (145g), with an IP68 waterproof rating suitable for mass production. Its waterproof speaker maintains clear sound quality even after immersion. By utilizing scattered glass, it achieves better night vision effects without the flashlight effect. The camera supports video resolutions up to 1512P (2688x1512) with reasonable bitrate. Users can also customize logos in the video and utilize the DeWarp function to correct image distortion, with a field of view exceeding 115 degrees. Additionally, the camera operates within a wide temperature range of -30 to 60 degrees Celsius and can record for 8 hours at -30 degrees Celsius with a normal battery. The software and hardware design ensure that the battery charging temperature remains within the range of 0 to 45 degrees Celsius, preventing battery bulging and shortened life.

Artificial Intelligence (Face Recognition) Capability

The built-in 4-core ARM Cortex A53 processors in the camera enable AI functions such as face recognition. It supports deep learning for faster and more accurate face recognition, with a local face database capable of storing up to 10,000 faces. Moreover, the camera will support face recognition and comparison with cloud servers in the future (under development).
